Guest speakers
Bart Campolo is a veteran urban minister and activist who speaks and writes about grace, faith, loving relationships and social justice. Bart is the leader of The Walnut Hills Fellowship, a local ministry in inner city Cincinnati. He is also founder of Mission Year, a Christian ministry which recruits committed young adults to live and work among the poor in inner-city neighbourhoods across the country, and executive director of EAPE, which develops and supports innovative, mission projects around the world.
Andy Hawthorne is Manchester born and bred and heads up The Message Trust which over the last fifteen years has seen thousands of young people reached and kept for Christ in their city and beyond. The Message Trust is an award-winning youth charity, with a well established reputation for being a pioneering organisation with a real passion to improve the lives of young people in Greater Manchester.
Worship leader
Jane Kitson will be leading our times of corporate worship. She is a singer/songwriter based in Gateshead. She is a former Secondary School teacher and now divides her time between worship leading, writing, performing and tutoring. Jane is part of the leadership team at her local church and is active in her local community.

Bernadette Askins is the Project Officer for Faith In Our Community which supports six community development projects in disadvantaged areas of the North East. She also chairs the South Tyneside’s KEY project.

John Hawksworth is the Director of Youth for Christ North East and has been involved in youth ministry for 17 years. He is a volunteer chaplain at the People’s Kitchen, in Newcastle.

Paul Catterall heads up Jubilee Church’s integration work in Middlesbrough. He also manages Open Door North East’s work with destitute asylum seekers on Teesside.

David Jones is the Chief Executive of Stewardship whose vision is to see the Christian community characterised by generous discipleship; handling money with a vibrant and holistic biblical understanding. |

Sam Douthwaite coordinates Street Pastors for Newcastle upon Tyne which offers practical support to the Friday and Saturday night revellers in Newcastle City Centre.

Joy Madeiros is Managing Director of Oasis UK working in a wide range of communities across the UK, delivering services including health, volunteering, youth and community. She is also Public Policy Director for Faithworks.

Ian Galloway leads the team of elders at City Church Newcastle having lead the church for over 22 years. He is a gifted pastor and teacher who is passionate about making theology accessible to a wide audience. |

Paul Merton leads Westgate Baptist Church in the inner city of Newcastle and has gained much experience in how a local church can relevantly serve its community in the name of Jesus. |

Dr David Golding has taken a leading role in the north east in the campaigns for justice for the world's poor and action on climate change. He is a founder member of the Jubilee Debt Campaign and Co-ordinator of Make Poverty History.

Sue Mould is Aquila Way’s Community Project Manager, overseeing the charity’s projects that are specifically community based. Sue also manages the extensive Volunteers Project. |

Peter Grant is the Prison Development Worker for Reflex, the prison ministry of Youth for Christ North East. He has 23 years experience working with men around issues of offending and domestic violence. |

Julian Prior is the Project Director for Open Door (North East) in Tyneside a charity that supports asylum seekers. He is also responsible for developing social action initiatives at City Church in Newcastle. |

Ed Greenfield is the Aquila Way Team Leader of The Aquila Mentoring Project offering support before and after leaving prison, as well as preventing homelessness. |

Aileen Innes is the Youth Director at Heaton Baptist Church working with young people both within and outside the church. Aileen is passionate about empowering young people to transform their communities and their world at large. |
